Consultant Advantage is a web-based subscription service for transportation consultants delivering latest Requests for Proposals(RFPs) for Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering, Transit, Intelligent Transportation Systems and more. Consultant Advantage is offshoot of The Urban Transportation Monitor. Soon after its founding The Urban Transportation Monitor, Lawley Publications began a fax-based RFP subscription service. In 2001, the service migrated to a web-based service under the name Consultant Advantage. Since 2001, thousands of RFPs relevant to transportation consultants have been delivered to subscribers.

Daniel B. Rathbone, Ph.D., P.E., is president of Lawley Publications. Dr. Rathbone has 35 years of experience in transportation planning, transit, and traffic engineering. He was an associate professor of Urban Systems Engineering for eight years at George Mason University, Fairfax VA, before leaving to pursue consulting opportunities. Dr. Rathbone is principal author of more than 70 technical reports and papers and is the founder, editor, and publisher of The Urban Transportation Monitor, a monthly publication with subscribers in 20 countries worldwide, and president of the consulting firm, DBR & Associates. A registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and South Africa, Dr. Rathbone is a member of the Institute of Transportation Engineers. He has chaired and served on numerous transportation-related committees of the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Transportation Research Board.
